the state of Haryana: Press 112 to receive assistance in 7 minutes.

In July 2021, the Haryana Police launched the Dial 112 initiative, which is an integrated Emergency Response Support System (ERSS). On average, it took the police 16 minutes and 14 seconds to respond to a distress call. According to a Haryana Police officer, the response time dropped to 7 minutes and 19 seconds in January of this year. This means that police teams respond to distress calls more quickly, cutting down on response times by about 55%.

Using geolocation technology, the Dial-112 initiative can quickly respond to crisis calls received from all throughout the state.

At the Panchkula headquarters, IGP Y Puran Kumar is currently in charge of the emergency support system. When a citizen contacts 112 in an emergency, such as an accident or violent incident, the call is routed to the organization's headquarters, which designates the response team closest to the distress caller with duty. Following their handling of the complaint, the response team notifies headquarters of the steps taken to investigate the occurrence.

There are currently 628 police cars in the emergency assistance system that are on duty around-the-clock.

Up to five ambulances per district have already been incorporated into the state police's support system as a result of their integration of ambulance services. In this manner, 139 of the 604 ambulances in the state have already been linked into the system. In Gurgaon and Faridabad, the initiative has integrated 26 and 16 ambulances, respectively.IGP Kumar stated, "Efforts are underway to integrate the remaining ambulances with the emergency support system."

Following integration, if a troubled individual calls 108, the call will immediately go to the Dial 112 assistance system, and a nearby ambulance will be dispatched to respond to the call.
