The Narendra Modi government places a high premium on aiding farmers, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement on Wednesday. Through the 'PM Kisan Samman Nidhi' plan, they have directly handed farmers around Rs 3 lakh crore. Beginning on December 1, 2018, farmer households would get Rs 6,000 annually, sent directly into their bank accounts in three installments.
Shah claimed in a tweet that the 16th installment of the scheme will see Prime Minister Narendra Modi give over Rs 21 thousand crore to over 9 crore farmers. He said that under Modi's leadership, the government is sincerely committed to supporting farmers, and many farmers have already benefited from this programme.
Shah clarified that the reason this programme is significant is that it provides farmers with direct bank account payments. This is the largest system of its kind in the world. He added that this programme has greatly benefited agriculture and made life easier for farmers.
