The Indian Meteorological Department claims that states like Chandigarh, Haryana, and Punjab will receive moderate to heavy rain on April 13 and 14 th april.and a little bit of rain will be there on the 15th of April. This might make cities and states cool. However, there is bad news for punjab farmers, as they have just started producing wheat as the festival of Baisakhi is celebrated on the 13th of April. and this day is also the start of the harvesting season. but weather could delay things as expected.
There was a maximum temperature of 36.7 °C in Patala and a lowest temperature of 13 °C in Budh Singh Wala in the Moga region of Punjab. In the state of Haryana, Sirsa district experienced temperatures as high as 39.6 °C. along with Yamunanagar, received as cold as 14.6 Celsius. The temperature would remain the same on a weekend, but it could get warm during the weekend. The Indian Meteorological Department specialists predict that rain will begin on April 12 because of an ongoing western storm.
The farmers are recommended to keep their produce crops secure and are not advised to water them or apply less fertiliser and pesticides. The chief of farming, Jaswant Singh, stated that selecting wheat is still not underway till now.and farmers should follow the guidance of Punjab Agriculture University in coping with the problems that the rain could possibly create.
